Suzanne Bort Gray is an award-winning visual artist with a diverse body of work. Her paintings, photographs, digital images, and fiber arts hang in private and public collections in the United States and abroad.
As a native of Northeast Ohio, Suzanne has traditional mid-western values liberally peppered with an eclectic creative bent. A dreamer above all else, she strives to create outstanding work outside the norm.
In the 90s, Suzanne started a visual merchandising company that catered to malls and retail stores in northeast Ohio and western Pennsylvania. Clients included some of the major mall developers in the country. Her innovative and quirky displays were recognized by Martin Pegler, New York author of Store Windows That Sell. More than 15 years of extensive travel has inspired Suzanne to combine her love of the creative process with her desire to involve others in that process. To that end, she has worked with orphanages, public schools, non-profit organizations, and major corporations around the world, injecting local talent into her vision. While her most high-profile achievement was a collaboration with Lawless At home in Ohio, Suzanne teaches art at the Davis Family YMCA and art therapy at assisted living and residential facilities. She graduated summa cum laude from Youngstown State University where she studied under nationally esteemed professor, artist, and author Alfred L. Bright. She was awarded a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in painting, with a high concentration of classes in world religion.Industries to create a prototype for Disney World, her most meaningful work is with orphaned, disadvantaged, and AIDS affected children around the globe.
