Red Clover for Grandma
Gathering up her basket
my Granddaughter skips briskly down the road
singing her way to the garden
Time to gather herbs for my special tea Grandma
She makes the very best
Well Grandma, she says to me,
I have been doing this since I was three
Carefully she gathers
A little pinch of mint, some lemon balm and sage
Don't forget the wild strawberries
It adds color to the brew
But most of all Grandma,
I love Red Clover
it is my secret ingredient.
Back to the house
Kettle on the fire
Teapot filling with colorful herbs
A pinch of this, a sprig of that
and oh yes,
Red Clover
I love Red Clover Grandma,
It is my secret ingredient.
