Hello there,
Please tell me about this exhaustion I seem to go through with these menopausal changes. I am usually the energize bunny. I work out, I do yoga, I walk 2 hours a day, I love my job and and and...I eat right (Vegetarian) and yet...aside from the exhaustion the almost constant feeling that I am getting my period (has been a couple of months since I had one).
I am looking for some wisdom and help. :) HELP I heard of something called MacActive. Do you know anything about this. I so appreciate you writing back.
Thank you...

Hi Sheila,
If you haven’t, please go over to our site devoted to menopause and Susun’s book on this subject. http://www.menopause-metamorphosis.com/ . Many articles and resources can be found there. Susun’s book, Menopausal Years contains a tremendous amount of information. It is important to keep up with the exercise and correct diet, but perhaps it is almost too much? Susun feels that part of extreme fatigue during menopause indicates a profound need to do nothing. Take a day off and do nothing. http://www.susunweed.com/An_Article_Fatigue_AW3.htm
Are you including infusions in your daily diet? They are so helpful in maintaining optimal health and energy. http://susunweed.com/How_to_make_Infusions.htm. Nettle and oatstraw should be especially helpful. I am not familiar with MacActive, but I imagine that it is a supplement. Susun doesn’t recommend supplements, other than perhaps some additional Vit E and/or Vit B Complex for your fatigue.
Susun is devoting her time to her forthcoming book, “Down There, reproductive health for women and men” due out soon. You can speak with Susun during her Free hotline Tuesday evenings between 7:30-9:30 pm eastern time or by appointment for a moderate fee (15min/$30 or 30min/$50).
For a free consultation, call 845-246-8081 on Tuesday evenings May through October, 7:30-9:30pm EST. For a private phone consultation, go to: www.herbalmedicinehealing.com/store/ You might also go to the Wise Woman Forum to ask your question in case a member can offer you help: www.susunweed.com/wisewomanforum.htm. Just let us know if we can help you further.

Menopausal Allies
with Susun Weed
at Wise Woman University
This course will look at menopause as puberty prime, as a metamorphosis, and as the springboard for the last fifty years of our lives. You will mine gems of wisdom from how you dealt with your first puberty, recast your problems as allies during menopausal withdrawal, meltdown, and emergence, and learn how to use herbal allies to create yourself as wise old crone – juicy, vital, vibrant, strong-boned, hale-hearted, and gleeful.
You will look at the facts behind some of the prevalent myths of and learn which herbal allies are better choices. You will learn about herbal allies for menopause: herbs for dealing with fertility, mood and emotion, sex, hot flashes, sleepless nights, lack of libido, and your own personal problems. I invite you to join our circle, a menopausal moon lodge, as it were, of women honoring themselves and reweaving the healing cloak of the Ancients.
