Libido

Hello Susun,
I am a new member , and am wondering what herbs can I take to heal problems of low libido , no sexual desire, since menopause.

I heard about you from dr. Emmet Miller, and I think a lot of my problem is coming from having too much psychological stress, I also suffer from insomnia, almost all my life, and have had a lot of psychological trauma . I am in hormone replacement therapy as my vagina is extremely dry, and it is atrophic, but it seems like its not doing anything at all!,, are there any kind of natural remedies that ou could tell me about.

Calcium

Dear Susun,

My name is Patricia Hogan and I am a Midwife in Sacramento CA. Years ago I attended a lecture that you gave here in Sacramento. I took copious notes and now am unable to locate them. You were discussing women going through menopause and what their needs might be. I am particularly interested in your recipe for herbal tea high in Calcium. I remember one component was Oat Straw. Hello Patricia,

Not sure what exactly Susun may have mentioned in a particular lecture - She lists a number of calcium-rich herbs that can be used as infusions, so any of these would be important to include in ones daily diet: Along with oatstraw -- nettle, chickweed, red clover, comfrey leaf and raspberry leaf. She states each cupful will contain 250-300mg of calcium. There is also her Bonny Bony Brew: 1 ounce of nettle, 1 tablespoon of horsetail, 1 tablespoon of sage - again this is an infusion.

Can Foods Prevent Cancer?

Breast Cancer? Breast Health! The Wise Woman Way

Absolutely, without a doubt, eating certain foods can prevent breast cancer. Analysis of 156 studies linking diet and cancer found extraordinarily consistent evidence that some foods actively protect cells from undergoing cancerous changes, especially breast, cervical, ovarian, and prostate cells. While these foods don't guarantee freedom from cancer, they are vital elements of an anti-cancer lifestyle.

The United States National Research Council states that 35-70 percent of all U.S. cancer deaths are related to diet and that 60 percent of the cancer incidence in women is related to diet.
