Turmeric Eggs
The taste of turmeric is unusual, but pleasant.
It is an excellent addition to grains, such as rice, or lentils.
But the easiest way to eat more turmeric is simply to put it into your breakfast eggs.
Beat two eggs per person with a teaspoonful of water per egg.
Add a pinch of salt plus ¼ - ½ teaspoonful of turmeric powder per person to the beaten eggs.
Melt a little butter or bacon fat in a cast iron skillet and heat.
Add beaten eggs and stir into a scramble.
Don’t like scrambled eggs? Add turmeric to your deviled eggs!
And do beware, turmeric is a dye. The stain from cutting fresh turmeric root on my wooden cutting board stayed for months. The stain from spilled powdered turmeric is often permanent.
