Dear Susun,
If I'm unable to use dried comfrey leaves for tea, can I use fresh, and would I need to double the amount of leaves you suggest for making the comfrey infussion?
Thanks,
Peg

Hi Peg,
You need to use dried leaves for the herbal infusions… using the dried herbs for water preparations such as the infusions increases the medicinal quality of them. From Susun:
“The herbs I use for my nourishing herbal infusions -- such as nettle, oatstraw, red clover, comfrey leaf, linden flowers, chickweed, or mullein leaves -- contain little or no volatiles to be lost in drying. Rather, drying liberates their minerals and other nourishing constituents.”
blessings,
Kim
