Susun,
I have polycystic ovaries and realize that a huge part of my hormonal struggles have to do with shame about having supposedly imperfect ovaries. In reality, I conceived easily and have an amazing nearly two-year-old daughter. My ovaries are amazing and need not be tainted by shame; I want to start treating them with the awe and respect they deserve.
Any suggestions on how to do this? Herbally, metaphysically, artistically...
If you've done a talk or written a blog post on this recently, please refer me to them.
Regardless of what you talk about tonight, I look forward to listening!

We are passing your question along to Rebecca, the shows moderator, so that she can read it to Susun…. We will let you know when that happens. Do you have Susun’s book Down There? She has a lot of info on the ovaries…. As you have surmised, certainly our emotions can have an impact on our bodies … so mindfulness meditation, affirmations, yoga will help along with healthy diets filled with good organic fats and herbal infusions. A few things from Susun’s book:
• Remove vegetable/seed oils from your diet. Eat more animal fats.
• Take 2–4 droppersful of vitex or saw palmetto tincture daily.
• Take dandelion tincture as needed.
• Control bleeding with frequent doses of shepherd’s purse tincture.
• Drink 3–6 quarts of nourishing herbal infusion weekly.
• Affirmations for women with PCOS:
I surrender to the sweetness of life.
I burst out of my bounds and venture all.
I manifest my own inner Wise Woman.
The ovaries are tied to creativity so anything that you can do to incorporate that in your life would be useful…
blessings,
Kim
