Hi-
I appreciated your post about seaweed in the newsletter. I'm wondering if one can make a seaweed infusion? I have a family member going through radiation therapy now and would like him to be able to get as much seaweed as possible. However, the radiation is being done to his mouth and eating is a challenge.
If you know or could point me to any information on this, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks!
Hello,
Yes, a seaweed and vegetable broth would be healing. Better yet, miso broth is number one in preventing damage from radiation.
Here is a helpful article by Susun Weed on how to survive radiation, the Wise Woman Way:

It can be as simple as a spoonful of miso dissolved into hot water taken as often as possible. One step further, make a dashi, a broth of fish flakes and seaweed, and then dissolve the miso into the broth. To make the broth more flavorful, add vegetables such as burdock and carrot to the broth, which can be removed before adding the miso. Make sure miso never is boiled as the high heat will kill the living miso.
Love,
Justine
