Hello,
I have heard that it is better to use cream, half and half or whole
milk instead of low fat or skimmed milk. What do you think?
Regards,
Hello,
If you can get raw milk that is the best milk to consume, in moderation

when drinking raw milk, it is assumed it will be full fat.

further to this, if you can get goats milk, it is much better for humans than cow milk
Nutrient content of goat milk is slightly less than cow milk but goat milk is more digestible because the fat molecules are one-fifth the size of those from cow milk -- making it easily tolerated by those with compromised digestive systems. Seventy-two percent of the milk used throughout the world is from goats. It is one-third richer than cows milk but more nourishing and easier to digest. http://altmedangel.com/milkcomp.htm
Even more benefit can be gotten from adding yogurt to your diet on a regular basis instead of drinking milk.
The fat present in milk goes through many biochemical changes during yogurt production. The homogenisation and fermentation processes result in the breakdown of some of the fat into fatty acids which increases the digestion and absorption of the yogurt end product. Yogurt has also shown to have increased concentrations of conjugated linoleic acid (CLA), a naturally occurring fat, which is believed to boost the immune system and protect against cancers. http://www.milk.co.uk/page.aspx?intPageID=82
Nourishing herbal infusions such as Nettles leaf or Oatstraw both contain as much or more calcium ounce for ounce as compared to milk – “a cup of nettle infusion contains up to 500 mg of calcium” Susun Weed
