Hello,
I have a question that I will only trust Susan to answer. I am making Fresh Calendula infused olive oil. Can I use the petals and pods for the oil?
I did not have my own flowers this year so I ordered them. Unfortunately, the petals are very small (about the same size as the pod)... : ( How will this affect the oil?
Please. There honestly is no one else I trust to ask.
Thank you for shining brightly.
My warmest regards,
Lynn

Hello Lynn,
Thank you for writing in ... Susun rarely corresponds via email but you are most welcome to call in during her radio program and speak with her directly -- we can also read your question on air as well... She does the free health hotline each Tuesday evening from 7:30pm - 9pm Eastern: http://www.blogtalkradio.com/susunweed
Being familiar with Susun's teachings, I can tell you that you are at a problem from the get-go in regards to your scenario... when it comes to oil preparations, flower blossoms are delicate creatures and Susun always recommends the use of fresh flowers rather than dried. In her experience, the use of dried flowers is ineffective...
You are certainly welcome to use what you have and see for yourself how you feel about the end result ... perhaps a good experiment ....
blessings,
Kim
