Hi Susun
What could I do for my sugar addition? Its consuming, and I want to be done with having withdrawals from it. It makes me feel awful at the end of the day. It makes me gain weight and break out. I've noticed that honey, or naturally occurring sugar in fresh fruits doesn't satisfy that crave for it.-Only refined white sugar. And my cravings are intense. The more yoga I do, the better I am. And the only time in my life I can remember not being addicted was when I was attending college and was working out 6 plus hours a week. Any genuine advice from you is appreciated.
Also, my diet is a basic whole foods approach. I just started drinking nettle infusion, and am not on any prescribed drugs or birth control. I live in western Washington and am a 21 year old female.
Much love to you,
Celina
Hello Celina,
Certainly starting on the nourishing herbal infusions should help with particular cravings such as sugar, so keep up with them and see if they help to abate the cravings.
What about dried fruit? That is more of a concentration of sugar rather than fresh, perhaps that could help... Do you try maple sugar? Dark chocolate? Stevia?
If it were me I would also look into perhaps adding cinnamon and/or fenugreek tea to my diet ... As you already see, important to keep moving, any meditations you do to help? Don't beat yourself up on it -- After all, we are geared towards sweet since our mother's milk... sugar in and of itself is not bad, but of course, the white sugar can be problematic since there are no nutrients like you get from the other sources...
