Achieving pregnancy using Red Clover

Dear Wise woman,

I would like to know approximately how many months does it take to achieve pregnancy using Red Clover tea or capsules. I have had 4 unexplained miscarriages. Please let me know. Also, what method is better capsules or tea?

Hello Jacqueline,

We are all highly individual and it is impossible to give you an exact answer. I can say that Susun has known women to have success after only a couple of months and then there are those that take a couple of years... Many factors have to be included, your diet, your lifestyle, your habits, stress levels, etc. Certainly given the above, I would not try it for 2 months and then give up if the pregnancy has not yet happened... Do not discount the power of the mind as well -- plenty of visualization and positive affirmations can only help, make sure that you do not eat a low-fat diet, make sure that the only way you take red clover is as an infusion - not a tea made from a teabag, not tinctures, not pills .... only one ounce of dried herb to one quart of boiling water and steeped for at least 4 hours... you can check out more at the link below:

One of the most cherished of the fertility-increasing plants is red clover (Trifolium pratense). Common in fields and along roadsides, it has bright pink (not really red) blossoms from mid-summer into the chilly days of fall. A favorite flower of the honeybees, the tops (blossoms and appending leaves) are harvested on bright sunny days and eaten as is, or dried for medicinal use. The raw blossoms are delicious in salads and nutritious when cooked with grains such as rice or millet.

To make a fertility-enhancing infusion, I take one ounce by weight of the dried blossoms (fresh won't work for this application) and put them in a quart size canning jar. I fill the jar with boiling water, screw on a tight lid, and let it steep at room temperature overnight (or for at least four hours). Dozens of women have told me that they had successful pregnancies after drinking a cup or more (up to four cups) a day of red clover infusion.

It is especially helpful if there is scaring of the fallopian tubes, irregular menses, abnormal cells in the reproductive tract, or "unexplained" infertility. It may take several months for the full effect of this herb to come on and pregnancy may not occurs until you have used it for a year or two. You can improve the taste by including some dried peppermint (a spoonful or two) along with the dried clover blossoms when making your infusion. Treat the father of the child-to-be to some red clover infusion, too!

Trying to conceive

Had tubal reversal 2012, trying to get pregnant nothing yet.... hsg revealed one open tube one blocked tube... period is regular each month....am taking vitamins that have vitex....husband has low sperm is also on vitamins etc....is there anything else I can do? Am considering taking red clover infusions but is it safe while taking vitamins that contain vitex?...thank you for your time

I will however give you a starting point. The vitamins you are taking are probably not doing you any good and taking vitex other than in tincture or tea form is not effective. The best way to get all of the vitamins and minerals you need is from whole food stuff. Nourishing herbal infusions are a wonderful way to get a lot of the nutrition you need, especially when trying to conceive for both you and your male partner. Check out this website for information on all of the infusions to rotate through and how to make them. http://www.nourishingherbalinfusions.com/ Red clover infusion is completely safe to drink while taking vitex tincture. The dosage of vitex is usually 30-50 drops, three times per day for at least three cycles, I'm sure you are not taking nearly enough.

You can also start making bone broths, eating at least a quart of plain full fat yogurt a week, exercising and communing with the spirit of the child you wish to conceive.

Fallopian tubes

Can you help me clear my fallopian tubes?

Susun recommends the use of red clover infusions to help with fertility issues -- even with blocked/scarred Fallopian tubes...

Finding herbs for conception

Dear Susun,
I having been reading your article on conceiving after 47 and i am greatly impressed with giving me hope that i can still conceive at my age.

I would like to know if there is a way i can get the red clover and other herbs that would help me conceive. I have endometriosis and blocked fallopian tubes. I have done ivf and it failed, please i need help.

I am writing from Nigeria.
