Hi Susan,
I recently came across your article about chickweed and I would really appreciate your advice.
I was just diagnosed with a complex ovarian cyst and honestly I'm terrified.. I want to try chickweed to see if it helps but I'm not sure how to do so.
I read what you wrote about making your own tincture but I'm not sure I'm up for that.. also I have celiac disease so I need it to be gluten free. Can I buy the tincture somewhere.. and is it possible that I could get a gluten free version?
Thank you so much in advance for any and all information you may be so kind to share with me!!!!

Donna, hello!
Complex cysts such as dermoid cysts can be more difficult to dissolve, but I hope you can try not to worry too much… Do whatever meditations, visualizations, etc. that you can do release as much fear as possible. Chickweed can be a great benefit to cysts but it can take time. It won’t dissolve overnight or most likely within a month… but consistent use can do so.
From Susun: “I have seen chickweed dissolve ovarian cysts as large as an orange. One women used it to get rid of a dermoid cyst (which contains hair, bones, teeth, and fingernails); for that, she combined the chickweed with motherwort (Leonurus cardiaca) and cronewort (Artemisia vulgaris) tinctures in equal parts. These three plants together are an ancient Chinese remedy for many "women's problems."
So you can either try just the chickweed on its own are purchase/make chickweed with the motherwort and cronewort tinctures. Both have proven to be successful. Tinctures are easy to make if you have access to the fresh plant material, so it would depend on where you live. You would fill a small jar with it and then pour the 100 proof vodka over it, submerging all off the plant and then cap. It does however take 6 weeks to be ready for use … You can see Susun making dandelion tincture here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bi9ZEl6MHGo
I have definitely seen these tinctures in my local health food store – there are also a couple of online sources we recommend such as Mountain Rose Herbs, Catskill Mountain Herbals, StarWest Botanicals … I cannot say as to whether they are gluten free, most sources show that the vodka used for most tinctures would be gluten free:

A search for cysts on Susun’s channel brings up a number of shows where they are discussed, so you may want to listen in. A couple of them are below:

You can listen to whole show or just go straight to the 40 minute mark for a discussion about complex cysts.

a lot in the beginning about cysts, chickweed, etc.
From Susun’s book Down There, Sexual and Reproductive Health the Wise Woman Way: “Chickweed is a reliable dissolver of ovarian cysts. I prefer tincture of the fresh plant in flower, though infusion of the dried herb may be used with good results. The key is consistency: a dropperful of tincture, or a cup of infusion, taken 3-4 times a day until the cyst is gone. Very large cysts and dermoid cysts will dissolve eventually, but it may require more than a year’s effort.
Herbalists around the world recommend castor oil packs to reduce ovarian cysts. A flannel cloth is soaked in castor oil and applied to the abdomen, or the oil is rubbed right into the skin over the ovary. For deeper, more penetrating heat, wrap the castor- oil soaked flannel in foil (seal well) and warm in the oven; remove foil before applying. Or cover oiled skin with a towel and a heating pad. Success follows repetition (yes, you can use the same flannel over and over) and patience (yes, you must do it over and over). Several applications a day is most effective. If your skin gets irritated, stop for a while.”
blessings,
Kim
