I ran across your book when I was in my early 40's and was facing a
hysterectomy for fibroids, endrometreosis and cysts. I was in bad
shape. With nothing but Chaste Tree, it was all gone in a year and I
went on to have a natural menopause, no real problems. I took it for
10 years and then quit about 5 years ago.
I am 59 now and recently had to have antibiotics for a serious lung
infection. I started bleeding and cramping and could find nothing
anywhere except run, don't walk to your doctor and get tested for
cancer.
I did start back on the chaste tree the first day the bleeding
started. A month later, a pap, a biopsy and an ultrasound all found
nothing wrong except the fibroids had flared up. And the doctor
assumed I had cancer, so did the nurses and it was a scary month.
Now the cramping and bleeding have stopped. I am still taking the
Chaste Tree. The doctor still wanted to do a hysterectomy, which I
refused as the problem is gone again and he is totally mystified and
doesn't really understand about herbs.
So I am back on my own, as I was all those years ago. My question is
do you have any idea how long I should keep taking it this time? The
rest of my life? A year? I don't think there is any information on
this as almost anybody with the serious problems I had did surgery and
this would have never come up.
I recommend your book to a lot of women who come to me who are having
fertility problems and female problems. The ones that actually go for
the herbs get pregnant or go regular. It is wonderful. I am an
Astrologer, so I do talk with a lot of women.

Hello! Susun will be delighted to read your success story of personal
empowerment.
As you have had positive results allying with vitex, there is no reason
why you could not continue to take it for as long as intuitively you feel
works, be that six months, a year, or longer.

Are you making your own vitex tincture? It would make economical sense to do
so..
Are you also drinking nourishing herbal infusions?

Red Raspberry leaf is excellent for uterine health, and nettles leaf in
excellent for general health. Find info here:
"Brewed as a tea or as an infusion, raspberry is the best known, most widely
used, and safest of all uterine and pregnancy tonic herbs. It contains
fragrine, an alkaloid which gives tone to the muscles of the pelvic region,
including the uterus itself. Most of the benefits ascribed to regular use of
Raspberry tea through pregnancy are traced to the nourishing source of
vitamins and minerals found in this plant and to the strengthening power of
fragrine - an alkaloid which gives tone to the muscles of the pelvic region,
including the uterus itself. Of special note are the rich concentration of
vitamin C, the presence of vitamin E and the easily assimilated calcium and
iron. Raspberry leaves also contain vitamins A and B complex and many
minerals, including phosphorous and potassium." Susun Weed
