I enjoy reading your Wise Woman Herbal Ezine immensely. I have a question about
the use of flax seed tablets or oil to increase my quotient of Omega-3. I am a vegetarian and morally can not take Fish oil tablets. I have read that using the flax seed can cause distress in digestive symptoms and may cause diarrehea..
Do you have any information on how to get more data about the pros and cons of using flax seed or do you have first hand knowledge of this topic.

If you are concerned about using flax oil due to risk of rancidity, consider using flax seed in baking and cooking and eaten fresh toasted as a snack. I personally have never experienced digestive distress using flax in this manner.
