Hi! I stumbled across your site... and after reading for a few hours, I feel compelled to email you.
I have one question that I need to ask first- is your path wicca? I am drawn towards a green path, but I am finding it hard to find a green path that is not associated with wiccan rituals. I am very new to my path... I don't know my god or goddess yet and don't know where my journey will take me. I feel that I want *the old ways*... and much of a wiccan path is not what I am looking for. I see that you mention ceremonies and I want to be sure that what I am seeking is what you are offering :)
Do you still have chats? I would like to read... I am not sure that I have much to offer at this point- but I am looking for others who share the same path as I do. Just being around others who are of the same mind helps to validate my decision to explore energy, herbs, crystals, etc.
Thank you for your site! I am sitting here reading and feel like I have found a gold mine :)
Hello,
thank you for writing. I hear and understand your concern. I am a long time student of Susun's and help with her email. She does not have internet so is not able to correspond often in this way. It is hard to briefly explain one's beliefs, especially if done for another, but I can tell you my own personal story. There has alway been something about wicca or pagan concepts that appeals to me. It has to do with a value of women wisdom and a deep connection with nature. However, I have not enjoyed the rituals and holidays that seem so organized the original feeling and connection to the natural world felt lost for me. I wanted something more simple and more allowing of my own individuality. I find this in my studies of the Wise Woman Tradition with Susun Weed. Though many who follow wicca or paganism find comfort in Susun's beliefs, so do those who follow christianity and judaism. There is room for whatever is most personal to each. With that all said, I think if I understand your questions correctly I think you may really enjoy Susun's teachings. I would encourage you to learn more about her views by read the first half (at least) of Healing Wise if you are able. If not, here are a few excerpts (or nearly so):
