Hi Karen,

I know what you're going through since my mother had the same problems. She's gotten over it without surgery and I hope you can do the same. It's great that there's no cancer!!!

I was just curious how you are doing now since it has been quite a long time since your last post? Did any of the suggestions worked? Which ones and how?

Hope to hear from you again soon.

It is not I who had the concern. I am the one who answered the question. So sorry I can not answer for her.

thanks for your concern,
Karen Joy

Hi Karen,

I suffer with functional ovarian cysts and have recently read lot on chickweed tincture and its benefits for ovarian cyst. I've learned a decrease in progesterone and its contribution to ovarian cyst. I wanted to know if I can use the two in combination as I recently started with the recommended dosage of the progesterone cream from Dr. John Lee. I am dying to get rid of the cysts and return to normalcy...no pain. Also, how long should the tincture be used? If the cysts are resolved should I continue as well?

MIa, hello, I am not familiar with the actions of this progesterone cream so can not comment on the use of it with Chickweed together, but do not see harm. As a plant Chickweed is a lovely food I eat daily whenever I can! Its use is to dissolve cysts so I see no need to take the tincture beyond when this is complete, but do not see harm in doing so. Though then I would favor simply finding a cool shady garden patch or pot and spread some seeds for a little green snack each day :) You might consider castor oil poultices as well.

Thank you Karen,
I found an organic herbalist in College Park MD and was able to purchase the tincture as well as fresh chickweed...I too will try the castor oil poultices on a daily basis up until the day of my cycle. I will keep you informed of my progress.

Thank you,
Mia

Hi Karen

I've had ovarian cysts in the past year, diagnosed around June 2009 and then September 2009 found they had shrunk and as well a lot of bloating I'd had also went away. I am being treated by a TCM acupuncturist. However, I seem to have now in the past two months, these subtle but definitely sharp pains that are like a small electric current, sometimes on one side of abdomen, sometimes in pelvis, and also have been developing migraine headaches in the past year. Could any of these changes have to do with the fact that I drink soy milk in my tea - which amounts to about three glasses of soy milk a day. I'm 42, have never had kids, never been on birth control, and have never in the past had any issues with my cycle. I'm concerned if this might be more serious? Or is it strictly cysts and hormone levels than need to be managed? thanks for any of your opinion on this.

Ovarian cysts treatment

What is it like to have ovarian cysts in early pregnancy? Is it painful? Are they more evident in early pregnancy?
