Q: I am interested in anything natural for weight loss, I'm 39 and love food lol, I eat whole good foods usually and I 'm very active but i need to lose weight and I need to tone up my skin. I have very bad arthritis and cannot run anymore causes me too much joint pains.
Whatever reading materials you can suggest I would appreciate greatly ,I must say altho I have not read thru your entire web site, I find you very interesting. I live in florida and the catskills so next time I'm up I will look you up.
Thank you very much for your time :)
A: You have been added to our mailing list as you request - enjoy! Perhaps one day soon we will see you here at the Wise Woman Center.
I would like to invite you to our online forum where people from around the world gather to share topics of like interest. I think you will find good conversation there about weight and food concerns.
Susun does have an article on weight, but it refers more to how to gain it since this is natural and helpful as approaching menopause. You can read it here: Weight Gain. It does talk about healthy weight gain. So perhaps it would still give insight to what you can add to your life to be sure any amount of your weight is healthy, focusing not so much on the number on the scale but other indicators of health as you mentioned - joints, skin, running. One website that I love as a source for eating well ( I love food too!) while still nourishing ourselves real deeply with great nutrition is HERE.
I hope through all these resources you find some ideas to help. I imagine it may be discouraging when you feel you already eat real healthy. There are so many aspects to our health care besides food and weight. Perhaps through the forum you can explore more. Please let me know if I can help further!
